Anyone living with a chronic illness has to have some kind of routine in order to survive day to day. Calendars, alarms, computer reminders...even other people may be needed to prevent those with disabling illnesses from forgetting things. From doctor's appointments to times to take medication, these routines are a vital process to each and every disabled person.

This is a screen grab of just a part of my weekly alarm schedule. Probably the most important alarm is the Sunday 5:00 AM labelled "Refill Meds."

That's when I take the empty weekly medicine tray I use and refill each and every empty compartment with the pain management meds I need to keep the pain at bay, vitamin/mineral supplements my neurologist suggested I take replace what the disease has leeched from my body, cholesterol meds for obvious reasons (I am, over 50), and the medication I take to regulate my MS so I don't decline any further.

There are other routines that are a part of daily and weekly life that are just as important, but having an alarm schedule like mine is the most important one ti have.
